60th Anniversary of the
Daughters of the British Empire
in Kansas

We had an unforgettable evening as the Daughters of the British Empire in Kansas celebrated our 60th Anniversary at the Regnier Center. It was an incredible milestone marked by a blend of reflection, education, and camaraderie, honoring six decades of friendship and charitable contributions.

Highlights of the Evening:

  • Delicious Dinner: A buffet dinner was served, offering a delightful array of options for everyone to enjoy while mingling and celebrating.

  • Historical Insight: Lynda Krupp took us on a trip down memory lane, speaking about the history of the DBE in Kansas and how it all began, filling the room with a deep sense of appreciation for our founding members.

  • Member Stories: Mary Hawks shared her personal DBE story, offering a heartfelt glimpse into her journey with the organization and the friendships she has built over the years.

  • Guest Speaker: Karen Garrison delivered a very informative presentation on the British Home, a retirement facility in Brookfield, Illinois, that our organization proudly supports. Her talk underscored the impact our contributions have made in improving the lives of its residents.

  • Raffle Winners: Two wonderful raffle baskets filled with delightful surprises found their lucky winners, adding a bit of fun and excitement to the evening.

A Big Thank You:
A heartfelt thank you to Ann McElhenny and her dedicated committee for planning and organizing such a fun and informative event. Your hard work made this 60th Anniversary a night to remember!

We look forward to many more years of friendship, service, and community with the DBE.
