The British Home
The British Home in Brookfield, IL was established in 1920 as a not-for-profit retirement home for British immigrants in the US. Now all nationalities are welcome and this institution has been rebranded as Cantata, offering a myriad of services beyond retirement.
The idea for the British Home originated from those who recognized the unique challenges faced by elderly immigrants from their homeland. Many of these individuals had journeyed across the Atlantic in search of new opportunities, only to find themselves without the familial support or resources necessary to navigate the challenges of aging.
With a shared commitment to addressing this pressing need, the founding members of the British Home worked tirelessly to establish a facility that would offer a safe and supportive environment. The British Home has grown into a cherished institution. Situated on beautifully landscaped grounds, the facility provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for its residents.

At the British Home, residents receive personalized care tailored to their individual needs, ensuring that they can enjoy their golden years with dignity and comfort. Services offered include assisted living, skilled nursing care, rehabilitation therapy, and memory care support.
